There was girl who grew up in the beautiful mountains of southwest Montana. One day, she headed east to Pennsylvania for a grand adventure known as “college.”
By and by, she learned it was time for another adventure. This one would take her even further east – to China.
Now she lives and works in a little village that’s filled with scruffy dogs and delightful neighbors. She loves eating with chopsticks but misses really good Mexican food. She’s had more than one unfortunate haircut in China but is learning about the amazingness of the bobby pin.
China is teaching her a lot. She has a strong compulsion to make a difference, to help people. But since she has perfectionist tendencies, she also tends to feel that her contribution is too insignificant. God is tenderly and patiently showing her the value in faithfully obeying Him in the small things.
“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.” – Mother Teresa
She can’t claim to be very graceful at any of this, but she’s learning and she’s excited for the journey ahead.
This blog tells the story.
